The final part of my scene I needed to create was the interior of the hangar. As discussed below, this includes the tunnel from the beginning of the clip which R2D2 goes through and the hangar from which the snowspeeder takes off. Both make use of importing the snowy material made in the terrain scene.
Tunnel
I have created the tunnel in its own scene to keep the different shots separate for easiness. Creating a simple spline and increasing the thickness enabled me to easily and quickly make the tunnel. I have deleted the two ends to see inside but these will not be shown in the animation.
Combined with the plane that has the same texture applied, I feel this has created an effective snowy tunnel as shown below:
I also chose to use the snowy texture with a larger size of specs for the interior of the hangar. The below reference image is what I based the details off.

I made the shape more interesting by scaling in the top face and applying a chamfer to the edges. The details include lights hanging off the ceiling and floor lights, some of which will act as light sources or have a glow effect in the final render.
Good parts:
- Duplicating the lights with equal spacing meant I only needed to create one
- Consistent snowy texture fits in with other scenes including the tunnels
- Having the front cut off means I can see and edit the scene easily so long as this is not shown on the camera
Improvements:
- The cut out parts where the ships will go are not too obvious straight on, though this will likely be fixed with proper lighting
- The scene could benefit from more details like cables on the floor though this will become apparent when the full scene is built with lights and animation
